# Exchange Architecture

PredictEX has a unique dual exchange architecture, combining an automated market maker (AMM) with a central limit order book (CLOB). Both systems run in parallel and settle on-chain. The CLOB will be used for games that require deep liquidity. The AMM is used to offer longer tail or lower volume games. The combination ensures that PredictEX can offer bets on any major sports game. Initially, only the AMM will be live.
